If anything, Turkey is a foe. Turkey is an aggressor, hypocrite, genocider, human rights violator, & terrorist supporter country. Have we forgotten that Turkey mass slaughtered 1.6 million Armenians, provided the Nazis with essential substances for energy in WWII, invaded Cypress in the 1970’s, violated & disregarded the very values, human rights & democracy, that NATO members have promoted in the rest of the world & practicing them in their countries by denying the very existence of over 25 million Kurds & ethnic cleansing them for over 80 years, Turkish Intelligence Chief Hakan Fidan and the Iranian intelligence crisis, Turkey forged with Hamas – a group that promotes a violent Islamist agenda, has links to Iran, and is listed as a terrorist entity in Canada, Not allowing Americans to use Incirlik base which is operationally critical to the U.S. military engagements in the region & for this serious war against ISIL terrorists, while supporting &aiding the terrorists financially, militarily & logistically. This list can go on and on which requires more of a space than this comment space. Mr. Castle, while I appreciate your service as a Marine & I understand that you act like a politician now & want to be politically correct when you describe Turkey as our ally. However, as an American who proudly worked with our troops overseas, I see Turkey more like a foe & strongly believe that we should no longer tolerate Turkey’s intolerance, crimes, & evilness & we should not appease Turkey because we all know what the International appeasement to the Nazi Germans led to.
